About

Arknights is a mobile tower defense (TD) game developed by Hypergryph, originally released in mainland China (CN) on May 1st, 2019, before it was released in Japan, Korea, North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia (collectively known as Global/EN) by Yostar in January 16th, 2020, and in Taiwan (TW) by Long Cheng in June 29th, 2020.

While it appears to be a deceptively simple TD at first, Arknights is actually more difficult than your average TD game due to the various types of enemies and the complex routes they will take. In addition, the complicated map layouts require the players to manage their Operators and use their abilities correctly to achieve victory. Arknights also feature the important base building feature.

Arknights utilizes the gacha system for players to obtain the Operators, but there's no need to worry much: Arknights is generally seen as one of the most generous gacha games in the market thanks to the fair rates, reasonable "pity" mechanics, and the recruitment system, so everyone can have the best Operators even if luck is not on their side.

Autumn is here! For us Global/EN players, Under Tides is now live, so go out there and kill some Seaborns, and we wish you luck in getting Skadi the Corrupting Heart – actually you'll need it, as the sixth season of Contingency Contract, C.C. Spectrum will be the next!

Meanwhile on the CN server, the Near Light event is on the horizon with no less than seven new Operators, one of which includes the alter version of Nearl, Nearl the Radiant Knight! The second season of Integrated Strategies, Crimson Solitaire, is also coming as well, so better be prepared.

We're sad to see Platinum's CV being changed from Ai Kayano to Mizuki Kitajima, but it can't be helped as the CN community is infamously difficult to deal with, and at least Kitajima did a good job with her role. In regards to this, we'd like to remind you to keep the discussions civil and level-headed; any violations, including straying towards inappropriate subjects (and that includes politics!) will result in immediate, effective punishment.

Finally, save the best till last: ARKNIGHTS IS GETTING AN ANIME ADAPTATION!!

The wiki needs more contributors, particularly proofreaders and translators, community managers/moderators, and those who can help updating the wiki's content with information from the TW server, so anyone who would like to help out are welcome. Contact the administrators if you are interested.
